2023 Wells Fargo Championship Odds, Best Picks and Analysis PGA Predictions from model that Won Nine Majors

2023 Wells Fargo Championship Odds – Just three events remain on the PGA Tour calendar before entering FedEx Cup playoffs – starting Thursday’s opener. Quail Hollow Club in Charlotte will serve as host for the 2023 Wells Fargo Championship and boasts an excellent par-71 course that measures 7,538 yards. Max Homa is the defending champion; however, last year’s event took place at TPC Potomac while Rory McIlroy won in 2021 at Quail Hollow. They are among 11 of the world’s 15-best players enrolled in the Wells Fargo Championship 2023 field. Golf betting sites are updated in this upcoming event.

McIlroy is ranked as World No. 3, making him the 15-2 favorite online odds. Patrick Cantlay comes in second at 14-1 followed by Xander Schauffele 16-1, Tony Finau 17-1 who just came off his win last week.

Since the PGA Tour resumed play in June 2020, our custom model developed by DFS pro Mike McClure has proven itself. Since restart, the model has made over $8,600 on its best bets alone – nailing tournament after tournament with success.

McClure’s model predicted Rahm would take top honors at the 2023 Sentry Tournament of Champions and The American Express. At the 2023 Masters, all eyes were on Rahm as he pursued his second major victory of his career heading into the weekend. Rahm trailed two strokes when entering the third round, yet the model still projected him as the victor.

Additionally, the model featured Nick Hardy and Davis Riley among its top picks to win the 2023 Zurich Classic. McClure had success betting at +4500 on JT Poston winning outright at the 2022 John Deere Classic despite being listed as an immense 55-1 longshot. These results resulted in over $1,100 being returned from his best bets for the entire tournament.

This model has also nabbed an astonishing nine majors as of this weekend and anyone following it has experienced significant returns.

Top Predictions for the 2023 Wells Fargo Championship

One surprise predicted by the model for Wells Fargo Championship 2023 is Jordan Spieth’s performance this week; as one of the favorites he should finish within the top 10, but instead fails to even break into the top 10. Spieth had three consecutive T-4 or better finishes on the PGA Tour, including second place at RBC Heritage.

However, Spieth has had difficulty with his driver this season and ranks 107th overall and 149th for driving accuracy. Since 2013, he has not participated in the Wells Fargo Championship and recorded a T-32 finish there. He’s not an outstanding choice to win it all and there are much better values among Wells Fargo Championship 2023 competitors.

Jason Day, an unlikely 28-1 longshot, made a strong run at winning this year. A 12-time PGA Tour winner himself, his most recent triumph came at the 2018 Wells Fargo Championship. Day made his mark at Quail Hollow with two top 10s — including his victory at the 2017 PGA Championship — that remain impressive achievements.

Day, a former World No. 1, had dropped outside the top 100 entering 2023 but has experienced an unexpected comeback this year. Since the calendar flipped, he’s placed within the top 25 in seven out of eight tournaments he’s entered since then. He’s made waves at some of the biggest tournaments he’s competed in, finishing top 10s in four out of five tournaments he’s entered. Day is currently No. 34 on the World Rankings and should factor into 2023 Wells Fargo Championship bets due to his phenomenal run.
